This was an amazing weekend. Mainly, I never got to see these competitions up close, it was so thrilling. And the dances were so fun. I guess it’s too soon to reflect on it, I’m still reeling.
“Nothing’s gonna change my world”
I watched Across the Universe tonight. It’s a musical entirely of Beatles songs. The cinematography was beautiful, and the story was moving. I really liked it. I definitely plan on buying this movie when it comes out on DVD.
A TA’s rant…
I apologize for this silly little explosion, but I had to get it out — and seeing as it’s 2am, this is my only outlet.
WHY DON’T KIDS UNDERSTAND SCIENTIFIC NOTATION!!!
I’m grading all these labs, and some kids got it alright. The wavelength of a red laser should be measured in nanometers. In fact, it should be measured at somewhere between 600 and 700 nm. We told them this. Then why oh why are they writing the wavelength as 6.9 e-7 nm… that makes it much much much smaller than a nm! I don’t ever want to TA non-calculus physics again. I never ran into this problem when I TA the calc-based physics classes. Ugh… I think I need a beer, otherwise, they’re all going to get very bad grades.

This is such an awesome routine. I love the lift/aerial at 00:55. I can’t wait to see more videos
